Hollywood actress Denise Richards has gone viral on social media after going public about getting a face lift. The actress, didn’t just share before and after photos of her face, but also shared her pre and post-surgery recovery journey, complete with photos of swelling, drainage and her eventual restored look. In a joint post with her surgeon, Richards revealed that the before-and-after images were taken eight months after her facelift, making it easy to view her stunning transformation.
The procedure was carried out by Dr Ben Talei, who has also worked with several high-profile clients, including Australian singer Sia. Speaking to Allure, “I wanted to put things back up, where they were before.”Richards detailed how a breast implant surgery led her to meet the surgeon and on seeing his previous work, decided to go ahead with a facelift. “My face was in his hands,” she said and went on to add, “So I just said to Dr. Ben, ‘I know I’m in good hands. Do your thing.’”

In a detailed Instagram post, Talei praised Richards both personally and professionally, writing, “@deniserichards is just so insanely stunning. Posting the official photos next but these show just how much better photos and filming look without any filters.”
The post went on to read, “@deniserichards is one of the most lovely and beautiful people to ever walk this earth. It was an incredible pleasure and honor to be trusted with her restoration and more importantly, the preservation of her character and beauty. It’s hard to describe in a paragraph the type of surgery or procedures I do because they are so unique in many ways and there isn’t really a standard to compare it to.”

Detailing the procedures he did on her face, Talei explained, “If you look at every mm from top to bottom of any photo you will see comprehensive improvements. There are things that the majority of surgeons in the world would gloss over such as the organization of the eyebrow hair or the contour and shape of the forehead. As we age so many little things change like the disarray of the eyebrow hair pattern,” he wrote.He added, “If you look at the after photo, you can see how much more organized they look from the three dimensional changes I’m able to make. If you look at the forehead contours from the side view, you can see how young in the shape looks now.”In her interview, Richards kept it real and admitted that the procedure came with fair share of headaches, pain and swellings. “I will say, the brow lift is the most painful part, because the incisions are in here [above your hairline],” she told the magazine and added that she had numbness in her ears. She said, “It’s common to have some numbness around the ear for about three months following a facelift, and sometimes it takes about a year for feeling in the area to return completely.”

Talei in his post, highlighted enhancements around the actress’ eyes, mouth and neck, noting, “Her stunning, gorgeous eyes were restored rather than changed or just cleaned up. Even her earlobes look better from all views. The sad or tired look around the eyes and mouth have been neutralized and reversed. Her neck and upper chest are glowing now with the type of lift that I do combined with the PHAT Skin technique.”He further explained, “You can see that even the furrowing between her eyebrows has been relaxed. If you look at the smiling photos, you’ll see that even though the volume of the face was restored, the smile looks less cheeky.
